The Gatherer | Sterling Silver Honey Bee Necklace

A quiet tribute to one of nature’s hardest workers, this honey bee pendant began as my own original hand-carved sculpture before being cast in recycled sterling silver.

The bee rests upon a softly domed circular pendant, its detailed form highlighted by a hand-applied oxidized patina that brings depth and character to every tiny wing and leg. A handcrafted pinned bail adds an artisan touch, allowing the pendant to move freely from an 18” sterling silver bead chain.

Honey bees symbolize community, perseverance, abundance, and the beauty that comes from small, intentional acts. Wear it as a reminder to keep creating, keep growing, and trust that even the smallest efforts can blossom into something meaningful.

Each piece is handcrafted in my Pennsylvania studio and finished by hand, making every necklace uniquely its own.

Care

Your necklace has been intentionally oxidized to create its soft, antiqued finish. With regular wear, the raised areas will naturally become brighter over time, adding to its unique character.

To care for your piece:

• Store it in a dry place when not being worn.
• Avoid exposure to perfumes, lotions, pools, and household cleaners.
• Clean gently with a soft polishing cloth, avoiding aggressive polishing or liquid silver dips, which can remove the intentional patina.
• If desired, the oxidized finish can always be refreshed in the future.

Wear often—the natural evolution of the finish is part of the story your jewelry tells.
